Chinese Tea
What You Need:
  • 2 tablespoons black or green tea leaves
  • 4 cups water

  • How To Cook:
    1. Scald the inside of a glass or china teapot with boiling water, drain and then add the tea leaves.

    2. Bring the 4 cups of water to a full rolling boil in a kettle or saucepan and pour it into the teapot.

    3. The leaves should rise to the top of the pot, and then sink slowly to the bottom. (If the water is not at a full boil when it is poured into the teapot, some leaves will remain on the top and the flavor of the finished tea will be flat or bitter.)

    4. Let the tea steep covered and undisturbed for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the strength desired.

    To Serve: 6
