Baked Red Snapper In Savoury Barbecue Sauce
What You Need:
  • 1 3 pound red snapper
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • ¼ cup chopped green peppers
  • 3 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire / Pickapeppa sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ lemon, finely sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 red pepper

  • How To Cook:
    1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Dredge snapper inside and out with seasoned flour baking pan.

    2. In a pot, melt butter. Add onions, celery and green peppers.

    3. Simmer until celery is tender. Add other remaining ingredients and simmer 15 minutes.

    4. Pour sauce over the Fish. Bake approximately 45 minutes, basting frequently.

    To Serve: 4 - 5
