What You Need:
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • How To Cook:
    1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

    2. In a separate bowl, combine milk and water.

    3. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture, and then pour in milk mixture.

    4. Using a spoon, mix well, and then knead into soft dough.

    5. Cut into 12 equal pieces and roll lengthwise.

    6. In a deep-fat fryer or heavy saucepan, heat oil to 360°F.

    7. Deep-fry pieces until golden brown.

    8. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot.
