What You Need: |

12 boiled okras
4 chopped tomatoes
4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 oz butter
1 oz flour
˝ pint milk
Salt, pepper, thyme

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Melt butter, stir in flour for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add the milk gradually.
|
2. Season and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
|
3. Chop okras; mix with tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of the breadcrumbs.
|
4. Turn into a baking dish and pour flour-milk mixture over this.
|
5. Sprinkle with remaining breadcrumbs and bake about 15 minutes in a moderate oven.
