1. Brown onion with salt pork and seasoning.

2. Meanwhile, add 1 cup hot water to grated coconut and squeeze out cream.

3. Place peas in a pot with 2 quarts water and cook until tender.
|
4. Add salt pork and seasonings and cook for ten minutes.
|
5. Add rice and cook over low heat until ready.
|
6. Add hot water if more liquid is needed.
