Fried Baby Squid
(Kalamarakia Tighanita)
What You Need:
  • 3 pounds cleaned squid, about 3 to 4 inches long
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flour for coating
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • How To Cook:
    1. Season quid lightly with salt and pepper. Dip in flour and shake off excess. Heat 1 inch of oil in a frying pan.

    2. Fry squid in batches so as not to crowd. Cook until golden. Remove as they are done.

    3. When all the pieces are fried, return to frying pan to reheat.

    4. Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with fresh lemon juice, and serve immediately.

    To Serve: 4 to 6
