Cauliflower Fried In Butter

Cauliflower is a common winter dish in a large part of Russia. This method of cooking the vegetable is tasty and very different, and because it is Russian it is very hearty.

What You Need: |

|
1 large head of cauliflower
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
GARNISH
Melted butter
Finely chopped parsley

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Separate the cauliflower into flowerets. Break the flowerets up into little pieces.
|
2. Place the cauliflower in boiling salted water and cook just until barely tender.
|
3. Drain the cauliflower and rinse with cold water.
|
4. Drain again and dredge with the flour seasoned with salt and pepper, and panfry in the butter until lightly browned.
|
5. Serve with melted butter and finely chopped parsley.
