What You Need: |

2 tablespoons bacon drippings, butter or margarine
½ cup onion, finely chopped
1 pound okra, sliced
2½ cups fresh, skinned; or canned tomatoes
1¼ teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon curry powder
2 teaspoons brown sugar
½ cup corn cut from cob or drained corn niblets (optional)

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Saute onions in bacon drippings, butter or margarine until golden brown.
|
2. Add okra and saute for 5 minutes.
|
3. Add remaining ingredients; simmer covered until okra is tender.
