1. Stick the cloves into the orange and bake in a warm oven until hard.

2. Put the honey into a large bowl and add the fruit juices gradually, stirring so that the honey is completely dissolved.

3. Add the baked orange. Allow the mixture to stand for two hours at least.

4. When ready to serve, place a block of ice in a large bowl and pour the punch over it.
|
5. Use a ladle to pour the punch over the ice repeatedly until it is completely chilled. Add the soda water and serve.

6. Rum can be added to this punch while it is standing. It can also be garnished with sprigs of mint.
