Sauerkraut Salad
An old-fashioned salad that is traditionally served during the winter with sausages or other pork dishes.

What You Need:
  • 1 pound bulk or canned sauerkraut, drained and chopped
  • 1 medium-sized onion, peeled and chopped
  • ¾ cup chopped green pepper
  • ½ cup diced raw carrots
  • 1/8 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 3 tablespoons salad oil
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • Salt, pepper to taste

  • How To Cook:
    1. Combine ingredients in a serving dish.

    2. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours to blend flavors.

    To Serve: 4 - 6
