How To Cook: |

1. Saute the minced onions in a little fat.
|
2. Cook the sauerkraut with the onions and wine.
|
3. Moisten with some ham liquor to give a good smoky flavor, add the beef, smoked pork and bacon, and cook slowly.
|
4. Half an hour before it is done, add 2 - 3 different kinds of sausage.
|
5. Place the sauerkraut on an oval dish and arrange the beef, ham, bacon and sausages on it in an attractive pattern, taking care to see that all are neatly cut and very hot.
|
6. Serve with boiled potatoes.

NOTE:

In summer the sauerkraut is replaced by French beans.
