	1. Melt butter and blend with crumbs; press firmly over bottom and sides of a cake tin with a removable base.

	2. Mix cheese, sugar and vanilla. Add one egg at a time, beating well.

	3. Turn the cheese mixture into the crumb-lined cake tin and bake at 350°F for 35 minutes, or till firm in centre.

	4. Turn off heat and let the cake cool in the oven with the door open.
  
 | 
	5. When cold, pour over the sour cream mixed with sugar and vanilla.
  
 | 
	6. Return to the oven (preheated to 425°F) and bake for 5 minutes only.
  
 | 
	7. The sour cream topping sets as the cake cools.
