How To Cook: |

1. Cream the fat and sugar and add the eggs.

2. Dissolve the soda in the cream and add to the first mixture. Stir in the remaining ingredients.

3. Put into a greased loaf or tube tin and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 45 minutes.

4. Alternatively, bake in 2 round layer cake tins for 30-40 minutes.
|
5. This cake can be served plain or with caramel, chocolate or vanilla icing; if made in layers fill as desired.

6. It improves with keeping; the banana flavor is more pronounced after a day or so.
