Dutch Cakes
What You Need:
˝ pound butter
A good pinch of ground cinnamon
˝ pound sugar
3 eggs
Rind of 1 lemon
˝ pound flour
3
tablespoons
rum or brandy
1 teaspoon baking powder
Halved glace cherries or chopped blanched almonds (if desired)
A good pinch of ground cloves
How To Cook:

. Grease and flour a cake

. Cream the butter and sugar.

. Add the beaten eggs and the sieved flour and baking powder alternately.

. Then add the other ingredients.

. Bake in a moderate
oven
(350°F) for 1 hour.
