Grilled Meat With Eggs
(Kebab Emsharmel)
What You Need:
  • Kebabs (made as in this recipe)
  • 7 oz butter
  • ˝ teaspoon saffron
  • ˝ teaspoon pepper
  • ˝ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ˝ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chervil, chopped finely
  • 1 onion, chopped small
  • 2 lemons
  • 5 eggs

  • How To Cook:
    1. Remove the meat from the skewers.

    2. Mix the butter, saffron, pepper, ginger, cumin, red pepper, chervil and 1 tablespoon chopped onion.

    3. Add 1 pint water and cook for ˝ hour, stirring occasionally.

    4. Put in the meat and 2 tablespoons lemon juice and cook gently for 5-10 minutes longer.

    5. Break the 5 eggs separately into the mixture and cook again for a few minutes, until the eggs are set.

    6. Serve in the same dish.

    To Serve: 2 - 4
