40 palm nuts
Potatoes
1 pound stewing steak
Seasoning
Onions, carrots, turnips, tomatoes
Fat for frying

How To Cook: |

|
1. Boil the palm nuts until cooked, drain, pound, and cover with fresh water and mix well, then strain into a saucepan.
|
2. Fry the meat, onions, carrots and turnips golden-brown and add to the palm nuts.
|
3. Season and simmer gently for 2 hours, skimming off the grease as it rises.
|
4. Add potatoes half an hour before serving. Chicken can be used instead of meat.
