Pilaf Egyptian
What You Need:
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1˝ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • How To Cook:
    1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a shallow saucepan, and then add 1˝ cups water and a generous sprinkling of salt.

    2. When it comes to the boil, add 1 cup well washed rice.

    3. Put the lid half on the pan and cook for about 20 minutes on a low heat.

    4. When all the water has been absorbed, take off the lid and fork the rice gently, then let it continue to cook in the steam for a few minutes.

    5. Serve with meat, fish, vegetables or tomato sauce.

    To Serve: 2 - 4
