How To Cook: |

1. Cut a piece of pumpkin into 2-inch squares, then wash these well.

2. Cut up leftover meat. (The amount will vary according to what is available, but about 2-4 oz. would be sufficient for this amount of pumpkin.)

3. Fry the meat lightly in a little hot oil, then add ½ a garlic clove, crushed with a little salt, and shallots.
|
4. Add shredded cabbage and the pumpkin pieces and season well with salt and pepper.
|
5. Cover and cook gently over a low heat for 2½ hours, adding a little water if required.
