Kadavu Fish
What You Need:
  • ¼ pint cooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 cups cooked and flaked fish
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper

  • How To Cook:
    1. Grease a mould (or small moulds) and line with cooked rice.

    2. Melt the butter, add flour and stir till smooth.

    3. Mix in the flaked fish, beaten egg, milk, onion, parsley and salt and pepper, stir well and cook for a few minutes.

    4. Fill the lined moulds with the mixture and cover with more rice.

    5. Put in a shallow pan of water and cook in a moderate oven (350°F) for ½ hour.

    6. Turn out and serve at once.

    TIP:
        Tomato sauce goes well with this dish.
