Oyster Stew
What You Need:
  • 1 pint light cream
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fine cracker crumbs
  • A dash of pepper
  • Parsley
  • 1 pint oysters
  • Green onions or chives
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • How To Cook:
    1. Heat the cream and crumbs in the top of a double boiler.

    2. Add the juice from the oysters, the seasoning and the butter.

    3. When the cream is hot cook until the oysters are plump and the edges begin to curl.

    4. Serve at once.

    5. Sprinkle with chopped green onions, chives or parsley.

    To Serve: 2 - 4
