What You Need: |

1 pound sugar
Cold water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Boil sugar with 1 teacupful cold water for about 20 minutes.
|
2. Add bicarbonate of soda to the boiling sugar just as you lift it from the heat.
|
3. Pour the mixture immediately into a deep bowl of cold water, and when cool, remove it.
|
4. Break into pieces and store in a tin.
