Laver Cakes
What You Need:
  • Laver (see glossary)
  • Oatmeal

  • How To Cook:
    1. These are made from laver pulp, sprinkled with fine oatmeal, and shaped into small cakes.

    2. These cakes are fried in bacon fat and served often with sausages as a breakfast dish.

    3. The taste for it has to be acquired, but those who eat it say that the flavor compares favorably with that of mushrooms.
