How To Cook: |

1. Put greens in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to the boil and simmer till quite tender.

2. Drain thoroughly, chop finely and rub through a sieve.
|
3. Put this puree back into a saucepan, thin with a little of the water in which the greens were cooked, and add a sprinkling of oatmeal.
|
4. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for a few minutes.
|
5. Before serving, stir in a little warmed cream. Serve with thin oatcakes.
