What You Need: |

10 oz flour
1 oz caraway seeds
A pinch of salt
6 oz sugar
˝ teaspoons baking powder
1 - 2 eggs
4 oz margarine or butter
4 teaspoons water (approx.)

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Thoroughly grease a 6-inch cake tin.
|
2. Sieve together the flour, salt and baking powder and rub in the fat thoroughly.
|
3. Add the caraway seeds and the sugar and then the beaten egg.
|
4. Mix with sufficient water to give a soft dropping consistency and bake in a moderately hot oven (400°F) reducing after the first hour to 375°F for 1˝ hours, until golden brown.
