How To Cook: |

1. Peel and slice the potatoes.

2. Trim the bacon or ham and cut it into dice or small slices.
|
3. Peel and slice the apples, and dip into sugar if of a very sour variety.
|
4. Grease a pie dish and put in alternate layers of potato, bacon and apple until the dish is full, seasoning each layer.
|
5. Add the stock, and cover with a layer of pastry.
|
6. Bake at the bottom of a moderately hot oven (400°F) for about 1 hour.
