Spiced Vinegar For Pickles
What You Need:
  • Vinegar
  • ¼ oz blade of mace
  • 6 peppercorns
  • ¼ oz allspice
  • ¼ oz root ginger (if a pickle is liked)
  • ¼ oz cloves hot
  • ¼ oz stick cinnamon

  • How To Cook:
    1. Tie the spices in muslin, place in a covered pan with the vinegar and heat slowly to boiling point.

    2. Remove from the heat, leave to stand for 2 hours and remove the spices.

    To Make: 1 quart of vinegar allow
