(Teisen Frau Gwent A Morganwg)
What You Need:
  • 1 pound flour
  • 1 pint ewe's milk, or cream or cow's
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 oz currants

  • How To Cook:
    1. Mix the flour, sugar and milk into a thick batter and stir in the currants.

    2. In the original recipe, one is told to "butter the tin of a Dutch oven and bake before the fire," but the cakes can be baked in the ordinary way in a moderately hot oven (425°F).
