Yorkshire Apple Pudding
What You Need:
  • ˝ pound self-raising flour
  • 1 pint milk
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 large cooking apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 oz dripping

  • How To Cook:
    1. Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl and add the eggs and half the milk.

    2. Stir to a smooth paste and beat well.

    3. Add the remaining milk gradually, taking care to avoid lumpiness.

    4. Peel and grate the apples into the mixture.

    5. Put the dripping into a Yorkshire pudding tin and heat until very hot; pour in the batter at once and bake for 40 minutes in a hot oven (450°F).

    6. Serve dredged with sugar.
