Apple Tart

What You Need: |

Butter
Breadcrumbs
2 pound cooking apples (or 1 pound apple rings, soaked overnight)
4 oz sugar
4 oz flour
2 tablespoons milk
1 egg

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Butter a pie dish and sprinkle thickly with breadcrumbs.
|
2. Arrange the sliced apples or drained rings over breadcrumbs.
|
3. Make some pastry by blending the sugar, flour, milk and egg, mixing to a thick batter, and pour it over the apples in the dish.
|
4. Bake for 20 minutes in a moderately hot oven (425°F).
|
5. Serve hot.

TIP:
|
If fresh apples are used stew them a little before putting into the pie dish.
