How To Cook: |
1. Sieve the flour and salt.
2. Cut the rolls into thin slices and fry slowly.
3. Beat the egg into the flour with a little milk, and then beat in the soda water.
4. Beat for 20 minutes, and then leave for 30 minutes.
5. Now dice the fried bread and beat into the batter (which, unlike English batter, is firm enough to handle).
6. Form into large dumplings or balls, keeping the hands wet to make it easier to handle the mixture.
7. Cook the dumplings for 25-30 minutes in gently boiling water, drain and serve at once with roast meat or poultry, chicken in paprika or any suitable dish.
