How To Cook: |

1. Make dough with 4 oz. flour, the yeast and half the warm milk, and allow to rise slowly about 45 minutes.

2. Now add the salt, sugar, the remainder of the milk and flour, the beaten eggs and, lastly, the creamed butter.
|
3. Beat the dough till it forms bubbles and roll it on a board sprinkled with flour till it is spread out but not too thin.

4. Put into a greased tin, allow rising again, covering with the egg yolk, butter, sugar and flour, creamed together; spread over evenly.
|
5. Bake for 10 minutes at 450°F and a further 30 minutes at mark 350°F.
