(Lenzenzopp Mat Speci)
What You Need:
  • 1 pint lentils
  • A small bunch of parsley
  • 2 pints water
  • Salt
  • Garlic to taste
  • ˝ pound bacon
  • 1 clove
  • 1 pound potatoes

  • How To Cook:
    1. Wash lentils and soak them overnight.

    2. Boil them in the water in which they have been soaked, adding the garlic, clove, coarsely minced parsley and the salt.

    3. Add the diced bacon and allow the mixture to simmer until both the lentils and bacon are cooked.

    4. Then add the potatoes, peeled and cut into very small dice, and cook for a further 20 minutes.

    5. If a thicker soup is required, brown some butter with a little flour and add to the soup just before serving.
