Apple Puree
What You Need:
  • 2 pound apples
  • 1 pint water
  • 4 - 6 oz sugar
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons potato flour

  • How To Cook:
    1. Peel the apples and cut into small pieces, cook until quite soft, sieve and cook again with the sugar.

    2. Mix the potato flour in a teacupful of water and pour very slowly into the saucepan with the apples.

    3. Stir for a few minutes and simmer the mixture for a few minutes longer; remove from the heat and allow cooling.

    4. Use as a sweet or to replace jam.

    TIP:
        Cranberries, black-currants and red-currants may also be made into puree.
