What You Need: |

4 oz butter
4 oz flour
2 oz icing sugar
10 red glace cherries
10 green preserved cherries
10 blanched almonds

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Rub the butter into the flour and add the sugar, chopped cherries and chopped almonds.
|
2. Knead lightly into smooth dough and roll into a "sausage" about 2 inches in diameter.
|
3. Wrap in greaseproof paper and place in the refrigerator until firm.
|
4. Cut into very thin slices, place on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes in a moderately hot oven (400°F).
