Poppy Seed Noodle Pudding
What You Need:
  • 1 pound freshly made (or ˝ pound dried) noodles
  • 1 oz caster sugar
  • Grated peel of ˝ lemon
  • 3 oz butter
  • 3 oz sultanas
  • 6 oz finely ground poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cook the noodles in plenty of slightly salted boiling water.

    2. Heat in a saucepan, 2 oz. butter, mix in the cooked and well-drained noodles.

    3. Add ground poppy seed, 1 oz. sugar, the grated peel of ˝ lemons, and the sultanas.

    4. Mix well, pour into a deep buttered fireproof dish, and bake in a moderately hot oven (400°F) for 20 minutes.

    5. Take dish out of oven, cover and allow standing for 4-5 minutes.

    6. Loosen the sides with a knife; turn out on to a flat warmed dish.

    7. Pour warm honey over and serve.

    To Serve: 4 - 6
