Cumberland Sauce
What You Need:
  • 1 cup red-currant jelly
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¾ tablespoon dry mustard

  • How To Cook:
    1. Stir jelly over boiling water until soft.

    2. Mix yolk with vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt and pepper, add the jelly and stir the sauce until thick, about 15 minutes, add the raisins, if liked, and serve.
