Portuguese Hard - Boiled Eggs
(Ovos Duros A Portuguesa)
What You Need:
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce or puree seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cut the tomatoes crossways in half and remove the pulp.

    2. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook in hot oil for a few minutes.

    3. Place a freshly shelled egg in each tomato half and pour over them a little thick tomato sauce or puree.

    To Serve: 2 - 4
