1. Peel some small cucumbers and cut in half.

2. Remove the seeds and fill the cavity with cooked minced meat, well-seasoned and bound together with sauce.

3. Tie the two halves together, place in a casserole or stew pan on top of some sliced onion, turnip and carrots and half-cover with stock.
|
4. Season well, cover and cook gently for about 30 minutes.
|
5. Remove the threads before dishing up the cucumbers.
