What You Need: |

1 tablespoon Maraschino liqueur
1 pound chestnuts
6 oz sugar
˝ pint water

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Peel and skin the chestnuts.
|
2. Dissolve the sugar in the water, and add the nuts, cover the saucepan and simmer gently until the chestnuts are quite tender.
|
3. Add the Maraschino liqueur, put the nuts and syrup into a glass dish and leave them in a refrigerator or a very cold place until they are required.
