How To Cook: |

1. Start heating oven to 375°F. Grease bottom and sides of 8-inch by 2-inch pan.

2. Mix ½ cup butter and ¾ cup sugar till creamy and light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well; fold in ¾ cup flour. Pour batter into pan; bake for 25 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, in saucepan, combine ¼ cup butter, ¼ cup sugar, cream and one-third of almonds; over medium heat, warm till creamy. Add 1 tablespoon flour; simmer ½ minute, remove from the heat.

4. When cake has baked for 25 minutes remove from the oven. Spread nut mixture over the top; sprinkle with rest of nuts.

5. Bake for 20 minutes more. Cool slightly; remove from pan.
