How To Cook: |
1. Combine the ice, Cherry Heering or brandy, lemon juice and gin in a highball glass.
2. Fill the glass with cold water and stir.
3. The Singapore sling is said to have originated in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, and some claim that the original drink had, in addition to the above ingredients, a few drops of Benedictine and brandy, a slice of orange and a sprig of fresh mint.
4. Many recipes substitute club soda for the cold water; although tasty, thiswould then be called a Singapore rickey and not a Singapore sling.
