1 tablespoon strained fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
4 medium-sized white turnips, peeled and cut crosswise into 1/8 inch-thick rounds
1 teaspoon hrisa

How To Cook: |

|
1. In a serving bowl, stir the lime juice and salt together until the salt is dissolved.
|
2. Drop in the turnips and turn them about with a spoon.
|
3. When they are evenly coated with the lime mixture, cover tightly with foil or plastic wrap and marinate at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
|
4. Just before serving, stir in the hrisa.
|
NOTE: Torshiis traditionally served inTunisia as an accompaniment to kouski bil lahm.
