What You Need:
(To Make: 2 to 2½ dozen meatballs)

1¼ pounds ground chuck
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Pinch oregano
½ cup grated onion
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried mint
Dash each of ground allspice, cinnamon, and cloves
1 teaspoon minced garlic
½ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup water

How To Cook: |

|
1. Preheat oven to 450°.
|
2. Combine all ingredients except tomato sauce and water and shape into 1-inch balls.
|
3. Put in a lightly greased baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Turn halfway through the baking time.
|
4. Drain on absorbent paper. In a saucepan simmer tomato sauce with ¼ cup water for 5 minutes. Correct seasonings.

5. Add meatballs to sauce and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. Heat in covered casserole and serve hot.
