How To Cook: |
1. Mix the butter, sugar, clove, ginger, wine, and cornstarch. Heat in the microwave oven to dissolve the sugar. Put in the ham slice and cover lightly with a sheet of wax paper.
2. Cook 5 minutes in the microwave oven. Turn the ham slice over and cook 5 minutes more. Do this 2 more times until a total of 20 minutes cooking time is reached.
3. Stir the sauce a little each time the ham is turned, to keep all the ingredients well-mixed. Remove the ham to a serving plate.
4. Add the grapes and cook, covered, in the sauce. Stir from time-to-time. Cook until the skins begin to pop a little. If using canned grapes, drain and cook 2 minutes. Pour grapes and sauce over the ham slice.
NOTE:
If using a precooked ham slice, cook only 10 minutes. This recipe is better with the uncooked ham slice, as the longer cooking time allows better penetration of the flavor.
