1. Cream butter and sugar and beat in yolk and vanilla.

2. Combine flour and salt and odd to mixture.
|
3. Divide and shape into balls. Roll in egg white and then in nuts.

4. Press a hole into each cookie and insert guava jelly.
|
5. Bake with jelly uppermost, on a sheet for 20 minutes in a moderate oven.
