How To Cook: |

1. Blend butter and margarine into Flour. Add baking powder, sugar and nutmeg.

2. Add fruit to flour.
|
3. Beat the eggs and pour into the dry mixture adding enough milk to make a batter.
|
4. Pour into a greased loaf tin and bake 1½ hours in a slow oven about 300°F.
|
5. Chopped cherries and some lime rind may be added to the mixture if desired.
