How To Cook: |

1. Combine orange peel and juice and boil until peel is tender.

2. Add 1½ cups sugar, and boil slowly until thick and syrupy. Cool.

3. Mix egg, 1 cup sugar, butter and milk. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
|
4. Add mixture and stir. Add orange mixture to dough and blend well.
|
5. Pour into 2 loaf tins which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.

6. This is good toasted with cheese spread.
