1. Squeeze juice from oranges to make 1 cup and reserve.

2. Cream butter and sugar and add eggs one at a time, beating continuously.
|
3. Add flour, salt and soda, which have been sifted together.
|
4. Continue to beat the mixture. Add ¼ cup of orange rind and the juice.
|
5. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan and bake in a moderate oven until firm.
