An old-time winter salad that is excellent with meat loaf or roasts.

What You Need:            (To Serve: 4 - 6)

  • 3 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • Several drops Tabasco sauce
  • Salt to taste

  • How To Cook:
    1. Put cabbage in refrigerator to become crisp.

    2. Just before serving, whip cream until stiff.

    3. Put cabbage in a serving dish and carefully fold in whipped cream.

    4. Mix in remaining ingredients and serve at once.
