1. Whip cream until partially stiff.

2. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and continue whipping until stiff.
|
3. Serve at once.

THIS RECIPE MAY BE VARIED BY ADDING TO 1 CUP OF THE BASIC DRESSING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
|
1. ANCHOVY: 3 minced anchovies and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind.
|
2. CUCUMBER: ½ cup diced, peeled cucumbers and ¼ teaspoon dried dill weed.
|
3. FRUIT: ¼ cup crushed pineapple or berries.
|
4. HORSERADISH: Omit lemon juice and add 2 tablespoons grated fresh horseradish.
